pdf4u is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we process it, and your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

File Uploads

When you use our PDF tools, your files are uploaded to our servers for processing. Files are stored temporarily in an isolated directory identified by a unique job ID. After processing is complete, all uploaded and output files are automatically deleted within one hour. We do not read, analyze, index, or share the content of your files.

Server Logs

Our web server may log standard connection information including your IP address, browser user agent, requested URL, and timestamp. These logs are used solely for security monitoring and debugging. Log data is retained for a maximum of 30 days and then deleted.

Cookies

pdf4u does not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics services. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any similar tracking tools. The site may use essential cookies required for basic functionality (such as session handling), but these do not track you across websites.

Third-Party Services

We use Next.js font optimization, which downloads Google Fonts at build time and serves them from our own domain. No requests are made to Google's servers when you visit pdf4u. We do not embed any third-party scripts, trackers, or social media widgets.

Your Rights (GDPR)

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to processing of your data
  • Data portability
  • Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
