Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using pdf4u.de ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Description of Service

pdf4u provides free online PDF processing tools including merging, splitting, compressing, rotating, converting, watermarking, and protecting PDF files. The Service processes files on our servers and provides results for download.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload files that contain malware, viruses, or malicious code
• Upload illegal content or content that infringes on others' rights
• Attempt to circumvent any technical limitations of the Service
• Use automated scripts or bots to access the Service at scale
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure

File Size and Usage Limits

The Service currently accepts files up to 100 MB per file. Tools that support multiple files accept up to 50 files per operation. These limits may change at any time without notice. We reserve the right to impose additional limits to ensure fair usage for all users.

File Handling

Uploaded files are processed on our servers and stored temporarily. All files (uploads and outputs) are automatically deleted within one hour of processing. You are responsible for downloading your processed files before deletion. We cannot recover deleted files.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results will be accurate. You use the Service at your own risk. Always keep a backup of your original files.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, pdf4u shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. This includes, but is not limited to, loss of data, loss of profits, or damage to files. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service (which is zero, as the Service is free).

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. The courts of Germany shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising from the use of this Service.
